Blue Thunder
Born on April 28 at Selangor, Blue Thunder was always interested in drawing since he was young, frequently scribbling on the walls of his house.
In the 80s, he joined the local comic industry, becoming the assistant to a few of the comic artists at that time. While undertaking his studies at Kuala Lumpur College of Art, he contributed his comics to Nanyang’s publications. Among his works are Blue Thunder, Science City, I love Camping and other short stories.
In 1994, personal and financial problems caused him to stop drawing comics. He instead began a career in illustration and advertising. After that, he dabbled in many other professions, even opening a toy shop, computer game shop, hawker stall and others!
But a friend reminded him one day that his true passion and talent definitely lies in comics. Blue Thunder then picked up his pen and resumed his work that he had left behind some time ago.
Blue Thunder usually draws comics that have themes revolving around robots, science fiction and adventure. His recent work, The Doomsday War was drawn while he was learning digital art.
The story of The Doomsday War is set during a fictional Third World War, detailing how the war started. The story mainly revolves around strategies and tactics by the main characters – teenagers who combine a burning spirit and keen intelligence to fight against their foes!
The Doomsday War also features impressive robots that are all original designs of Blue Thunder. Do support this local production!
